Hi Gents,

I recently won an auction for a Japanese Training Rifle... it will be my first! It's one of the so-called T-99 long training rifles (one vent hole) with the Nippon Special Steel marking on the receiver. I probably paid too much, but something just drew me to bid on it. The (now closed) auction can be found here:

I saw what appears to be the name of the school on the side of the stock (in Japanese), and was curious if perhaps anyone could translate it for me (Edokko? :)) Also the number "6" is painted on the stock too... is this just the number the school used?

The middle (sei) and bottom (ko) characters in the brand are an abbreviation for "youth school." The top character is too indistinctly formed for me to read, but I bet Takehito can read it. The number "6" is a school rack or inventory number.
