The best DEVO song before synths ..DEVO in 1979

Thanks for sharing the sweet DEVO videos and clips! DEVO blew my mind back in the early 80's when I first saw/heard them. I was a hardcore metalhead and back then when I first saw/heard this weird "new wave" music, I didn't quite know what to think. I couldn't really admit that I liked this stuff in my neighborhood (without risking being shunned by my friends). It was a different time back then, at least where I grew up. The metalheads were basically at war with the punkers and new wave "weirdos". I remember more than a few fights between the metalheads, punks, new wavers, etc. Then, starting in the early 90's, metal kinda died on the vine (thanks to Grunge, I guess) and everything kinda changed. Suddenly, it was ok to like both, like it all. Nobody would get the beat down for admitting to liking different kinds of music. That's when I took the plunge into everything I could get my hands on (punk, new wave, 4AD, goth, etc.). I loved it all. DEVO, The The, Tom Waits, Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, The Cure, This Mortal Coil, David Sylvian, Lloyd Cole, Sisters of Mercy, Husker Du, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, Fugazi, Bad Brains, NOFX, Pennywise, etc. all became my new favs. I LOVED it! Still do! And many more... Thanks for the blast back to the past! This thread RULES!
