These are uncommon but... The stock is sanded, and slathered down with something. And, I don't know what to think about that quadruple struck mum. Anyone ever seen that before?

Looks like original strikes, just light, then "he" finally got it right; musta' been a Monday or Friday.

not sur what to make of this one. finish does not appear to be original on metal or wood. mum appears to be struck 3 times, no arsenal mark and in the 91,000 serial range. plenty of Nagoya marked rifles in that serial range and TJK or Howa never got that high. perhaps this is a Jinsen made rifle given the "O" marking on the receiver. might not be though, since the receiver appears to be buffed out a bit and is much smoother than any rope hole i have ever seen.

If you look at the bolt handle the numbers are vertical and the rear sight is "reversed" It's in fact a Jinsen.
Then that is "good" stamping for a Jinsen made 99!
