WOW, Swede that elm grain is TIGHT...I can see why you wanted to see the other side of the Dan's stock...oops...posting as the new pictures arrived!!

Looking at the heel of the Dan's rifle it MIGHT be elm?!?

I've not noticed until I posted the picture of the bottom of the butt stock but there is a little figuring in the wood at the toe.
The pictures are from the auction site. I've got a new computer with Windows 10 and some of my files either haven't made the transition from 7 or won't transfer properly.

Your photos show that you have an ELM stock . Very nice condition . The stock disc cutout is only on the right side . Nothing but the slot on the left side .

I looked for a long time to find one without ever having the barrel extension and in nice condition. When I bought it there was a tread on here about the auction but I've been unable to find it. I think the consensus then was that it was an elm stock. That's what I was going by when I described it. I doubt that I will find a 94-14 in the same condition for under a thousand in today's market.
