I am thinking of getting a K31 and have a couple of questions.

1) I have my C and R on the way, but am looking for a good source for these rifles. Am interested in a shooter, not too worried about serial numbers, etc and money is an object. Any thoughts?

2) Ammo... is there plenty out there and will it ever dry up (if laws don't change)?

Sorry for my ignorance, but am just starting out with the whole milsurplus rifle bug.

I've been reloading the 7.5x55 cartridge for 3 years now, and I can honestly say that I've worked up a load that is more accurate than the GP-11 ever was in my K-31. I use 168gr Sierra HPBT bullets and reformed .284 Win cases.

K31 fever

Try it, you'll like it. Easy to reload for, you will just haveta get one of the clamp on scope mounts once you realize the accuracy potential of these things ! At least the Mojo Micro Click peep sight..of course you may still be able to focus on the stock sights, I can't !

Yup I'll agree with that sentiment and show you proof!!!!!

From top to bottom, '28 K11, '36 K31, '41 K31, '43 K31, '56 K31

Oh and the clamp on is a Swiss Products mount in aluminum with Warne 7.3 Rings (extra high) and a Simmons 6.5-20x50 "Whitetail" scope.

Don't hang around - buy one, or more, NOW.

If I was allowed to, I'd have one for every year they were made.

As it is, I have three, and here in yUK, THAT, my friend, is passing rare.

There is absolutely nothing to compare with shooting a manually-operated rifle or carbine five times in less than ten seconds - the look on the faces of the Lee-enfield afficionados makes it all worth while...

Best
