You don’t have to. Just carry it with the hammer down. One thumb move to cock it is almost the same as taking off the safety when cocked and locked and you’re ready. Or, if you’re really paranoid you can engage the safety with the hammer down, though you should practice. I have one and it’s a fine carry gun.Been thinking about a DA .380 for carry. Right now I carry a Sig P238 and I’m still a little dubious about the whole cocked and locked thing.
Any suggestions?

I am a big fan of my Glock 42. It is large enough for me to shoot more accurately while also being very comfortable to carry. I usually carry it iwb, but it will carry well in a pocket holster also.Been thinking about a DA .380 for carry. A striker fired gun with the only “safety” in the trigger in a pocket holster? I’d rather not play Russian roulette with my femoral artery or my balls.I am a big fan of my Glock 42. A striker fired gun that literally won’t go off unless you pull that trigger. Which means either you’re an idiot and keep your finger on the trigger or you bought a crap holster and it folded inside the trigger guard.A striker fired gun with the only “safety” in the trigger in a pocket holster? I rarely pocket carry, but I don’t believe it to be unsafe when done with a sturdy pocket holster.A striker fired gun with the only “safety” in the trigger in a pocket holster? I’d rather not play Russian roulette with my femoral artery or my balls.
