It is apparent that Sweden was not the only Scandinavian country to import American Black Walnut during the WWI period. Perhaps the countries even shared shipments? Here is an example of a 1915 dated Danish Krag carbine stock.

As you can see the stock is certified American Black Walnut (Juglans nigra).

Makes me wonder if there is a Danish Krag with an Elm stock somewhere?

There is more than even that connection with Denmark. Sweden used alot of info from ballistic tests conducted by Denmark on the Mauser m/1894 cartridge, in 6.5x55, in their proccess to adopt this cartridge...Jimbo
