Well thought I would show off my small collection. Compared to others I have nothing super exciting, but it works and will continue to grow! It has been a little more than a year now since I started collecting Mosin Nagants, would have more but getting my first car was a little more important. I'll start off with a pic of the rifles. The first and oldest of all of them is my 1942 Tikka M91, tang date is 1896 Tula, it is in a Finn two-piece stock with sling hangers. By far my most accurate of the bunch

Number two is my 1936 Tula 91/30 hex Finn capture with its "been there, done that" look. Its in a two-piece Russian stock. Not the greatest bore but o well. Has lots of character and includes the scratched in initials of "KU".

Very good start! I think I had 6 rifles in 6 months when I started to collect in 2003. I thought, at the time, that 6 was a lot. When I had to start selling in 2008, I had about 180...damn! Whittled that down to about 30.

I'm now at 42...45?...again...and rising slowly.

Keep up the good work!

Next up is an interesting one, its a 1938 Tula 91/30 with the original 1938 Tula pre-war stock, orange paint and /25\ mark, and wears no sign of refurb. It has its original bluing and majority of it period Tula parts. A few Ishevsk bolt parts. I think this one was repaired but not refurbed.

The next one is very important to me, its a 1943 Izhevsk 91/30 Ex-sniper. Nice bore and numbers matching, but what is so important about this one is that this is my very first Mosin or even rifle which was given to me by my dad. This rifle will stay with me for forever until I pass it on to my children. Without him I wouldn't have any of these or even be interested into them.

Next is my one and only carbine, my 1955 T-53 from the 26 factory. Payed $85 for it and its all matching but the bolt which is all Izhevsk and carries the same wear as the rest of the rifle which means it has been with this rifle for some time. Not a very good bore on this one too, my dad calls it my sewer pipe.

I have a idea I would like some opinions on, I am considering of selling the M91 to fund an Ak-74 or a Saiga in 5.45x39. I would like to know what you guys think about this. And how much would the M91 be worth? Thanks

I appreciate a nice small collection. I personally have a small collection, I am relatively poor. I buy rifles when I can, but paying my rent and eating are more important. I work 54 hours a week at a minimum, when I can save enough to build my "toy fund" aka rifle fund, I like to treat myself. Don't feel ashamed of a small collection, some of us have to work real hard for those small collections. I like yours, I would be proud of it also.

Small collections turn into large collections if you are diligent enough and follow rule number 1 (don't sell anything).
