Here are some shots of all my home-grown, Chinese pistols. The top two, are the rarest. And as you can see, the 1900 Browning copies are pretty common. The little broomhandle looking one, is very likely Viet Cong. The one by it, with the horn grip, is in a class all by itself. The four on the bottom right, all have Mauser banner markings. Two of the ones on the left, have the same serial number. I hear this is fairly common with these. In the close-up of the black grip, it appears to be plastic. It is however, carved horn. Unfortunately, as these are all hand made, with no two alike, it's hard to find duplicates to upgrade, or barter for other examples. Feel free to ask questions. There is very little info on these, so any discussion might be helpful.

That's nice H. I can't seem to find one of those. Except for the one, with holster, and extra mag., that sold for nearly 2K.

I'm really interested in the holsters for these, do you happen to have a picture of the rig you're speaking of that sold for 2K?

The one that gets my attention is the one that has grips like a 9mm bolo broom handle. But looks to be a tip up single shot and the hammer looks like one from a broomhandle. Interesting none the less. Frank
The single shot "Broomhandle" is most likely Viet Cong mfg. The Chinese made a similar weapon, but it is much larger. Also, the Chinese pistols are usually chambered in 6.5MM Arisaka. This one, is in .30 Mauser.

What a bunch of junk!;)

Seriously, interesting group and shows the tenacity and ability of folks to build pistols when they have little to work with.
And why no one will ever get "all" the guns from the population of any country.

I have two of these pistols. One and its holster are identical to the one in your last photo. The bolt is marked
"301" at the opening; also at the left front of the slide and on the left side of the frame, just above the trigger. The holster is lined with a pinkish or pale coral colored fabric, and has a single belt loop on the back side, as wide as the strap. The other was part of a group lot in a recent Rock Island Auction Co. sale. Has a long barrel and white-yellowish grips, with upside down Mauser Banner logo and assorted Belgian & FN marks. It's sort of a cross between the upper left hand corner one and the one with the white grips in your collection group photo. Measures .30 cal at the muzzle. Both appear well made.

Walt - Sorry, don't have photo capability. You should be able to pull up Rock Island's 21 Feb 14 auction; See Lot 1527. The pistol's serial nr. is 55552. I had to buy the lot because I really wanted the Spanish Isard - same size and basic look as a Colt 1911, but longer barrel and in 9mm Largo. The last time I got caught like this (and with Rock Island) was for five pistols - to get a Spanish Charola; took me about 2+ years to get rid of the unwanted four; only have three excess this time, so I guess I'm improving in my old age.
