You don't see these much. I bought this back in the late 80s as did a number of my friends. We even had some consecutive serial numbers in the group. Sadly my friends sold theirs without mentioning to me that they were doing it. That of course was after the ban and the prices took off. Since we all knew what we paid I suspect nobody wanted to gouge their buddies... I don't blame them for cashing in but would have like to have picked up the others even if I had to kick up the cash price a bit...


This model has a few idiosyncrasies. The cleaning kit fits in a spring loaded compartment in the rear in what forms the butt, however when you fire it the cleaning kits drops out. I was lucky in that it landed on my foot or I would not have noticed. Also the fishmouth compensators has two holes on the side which make this a fairly loud AK and a unique flash signature to say the least. Three digit serial number below 110.

I got to play with one in the Meriden Trading Post in CT before their own ban. A very cool rifle!

I was under 18 at the time, otherwise I would have bought it (and would still have it!)

These predate the Bushmaster 17 bullpups by several years, they were banned from import in 1989. Internally they are an AKM with a long trigger bar.

I had one...Ended up trading it for a vertical mill. Wasn't my favorite rifle to shoot. Really unwieldy w/ a 30 round mag.

Years of collecting/research--- I have seen SN ranges from A000001-A001171!!!
