TMCA show was Friday and Saturday, great little show, good crowd with a waiting list for tables, the only downside is the tables are now as close for the dealers as at MAX. If you "break Wind" you blow the fellow behind you out of his chair, if ,by some act of magic, he was able to squeeze his chair behind you.
Couple of interesting items showed up, a Murata shotgun marked "Manufacture of Awaya Osaka Japan." The gun had sling swivels and a buckhorn rear sight. The new owner is a Board member in another SE state. Maybe Okiedokee can research Awaya, is it possible they also produced unmarked Murata shotguns?
The other item was a navy Type 4 double barrel "shot" pistol. If this is unfamiliar check page 57 in "Collectors Guide to Imperial Japanese Handguns" by Jim Brown. This one had no serial number, only number was on the trigger which I failed to record, thinking at first it was just another boat-anchor flare pistol. Brown says only 14 are known, this may make 15. It sold at the show for $1K. If anyone is interested in contacting the buyer for information it might be possible through the TMCA newsletter.
Observed at the show were the following pistols. T-94: 17.4-24915. T-14: 18.3-13781. 19.1-8480. 19.2-19398. 19.3-24094. 19.9-56166.
The show is held the Friday and Sataurday after Easter and Thanksgiving at the Marriot Hotel in Franklin Tennessee. Franklin is immediately south of Nashville and the hotel is about two blocks east of I-65
