I just got this Taurus used and I really like this snub gun but there are a few things that have me concerned.
First, should I be able to remove the crane from the gun with the sideplate installed and fastened? The forward screw looks like it's supposed to keep the crane from sliding out which is why I ask.
Second, the cylinder binds. Excuse my lack of proper nomenclature but I believe it to be because the ejecting flange (hope you know what I mean) is not machined as the chambers. On one in particular, the cartridges are very hard to get in. I was using blazer and there were aluminum shavings in the cylinder from forcing the rounds in and out. I think if I just use an oval jewelers file and contour it to the shape of the chamber better it may resolve the binding but I'm not sure.
