Here's some pics of a basic Tantal build. NDS2-T receiver for a best replica build. This is for a buddy of mine, I think he will like it. I'm sitting on a receiver and a kit for me, too. The Tantal build was a little interesting. Harlan at NDS sent me thier instruction booklet on how to mod 922r replacement FCG for this build. Went very smoothly. I can't say enough about the quality of NDS receivers and the quality of NDS customer service.
Anyway, here she is. Duracoat is HK Black with about 10% flattening agent. In addition to 922r compliance, I had to weld the muzzle break and weld the stock open and grind off the bayo lugs for NYS compliance. Always breaks my heart to do a rebuild as close to factory as possible but have to do these things to it. Mag is an East German. Tantal mags are hard to get someone to ship here. Most companies think of NY as a total high-cap ban state even though pre-ban mags are legal. I suppose in thier place I would rather err on the safe side, too.
