Well good,
I think "price gouging" only applies to "stuff" one must have.
8mm ammo does not fall into that category in my book; so just walk on by.

Turk 8mm was a great thing back in the day, I seem to see the same price on a bandolier of turk, $70, if I remember rightly that is 100 rounds of ammo, and seventy cents a round, might be better to buy the latest romanian surplus at about $350+s/h for 640 rounds same 150gr.

I got lucky six months ago from a dealer consignment needing to go out the door of nearly a full 1400 rounds of turk for $325, pure luck, it was all I was able to spend that week anyway after three rifle purchases right in the shop there. Really, its just luck of the draw anymore to find any non overpriced formerly imported 8mm, and usually what happens is someone got their first el cheapo surplus rifle and need about 25-30 rounds to lose interest, either from a sore shoulder or lack of accuracy on a worn bore or out of spec muzzle crown, or that turk ammo will not shoot exactly point of aim in european 8mm shorter rifles that originally shot 196 or 198 gr projectiles.
