Picked up this Cal .30 M1, a Springfield Armory 1955 model, Collector's Grade from the Civilian Marksmanship Program. She's a real beauty.

Very nice. If you don't me asking how much did it set you back..?? At CMP they show these as "Limited quantities occasionally available" so I assume you have to get on some kind waiting list..?? When I do get around to buying an M1 from CMP I think I'm going to go for the "Special Grade" as even though they're not matching or all original, for all intents and purposes it constitutes a new rifle. Congrats on a beautiful rifle.
