This is the military version of the SIG-P210, considered by some to be the "nec plus ultra" of military sidearms, in terms of quality of manufacture and accuracy. This one was made in 1954 and came with the original holster and accessory kit. It belonged to H.P. Zeuggin of Basel.

It's design originated from the French MAC 35, designed by the Swiss Charles Petter who was director of the SACM. Note the unusual design with the slide resting inside the slide frame. I've added an officers dagger and belt in the first picture:

Beautiful setup you have there. I wasn't aware of a connection between the SIG and the SACM pistols. Interesting!

Thanks guys! :) the pictures don't do it justice. The history of the SIG P 210 is detailed in Armbruster's beautiful book, "Begegnungen mit einer Legende",* which is available on gunbrokers and from Andrew Zink, at Augustus Fine Antiquities. It is in german and costs $90 but it is worth buying for the pictures alone.
