Have any of you guys ever ran much of the Gallery practice ammo? I was curious about it and wondered if it would be fun for general plinking at short range.

I got a case-full of this stuff at a show a few weeks back. Most have 1942-44 head-stamps.
They're so quiet. Great for stopping those nasty, charging squirrels.

The primer is Berdan of course and safe to assume, corrosive.

If anyone's interested, I'll take one apart and weigh the projo/powder/case and report back.

I'd like to have some but haven't seen any @ shows and I'm not sure I want to pay much to ship it. I could set up a range in my backyard. ;-)

Not corrosive.
Had some...was disappointed in the accuracy or lack thereof. Will not buy any more. For back yard plinking, I find 22 shorts thru an old bolt action marlin to be much more satisfying.
