Anyone ever thought about listing numbers on these so fellow collectors might find the matching magazines to their rifles? Kind of like the Japanese collectors do with dust covers etc. I realize we're probably talking needle in a haystack here but if the Russians made several magazines numbered to each rifle looks like there might be a decent chance of matching up some of these. I know I'd love to have the matching mag on the one I own.

Albacore: I got my Japanese banner today. I couldn't tell from the picture, but it's actually made of pink silk with a pattern of cherry blossoms.

Vaarok: You know, if it hadn't inspired a generation of Japanese to run around screaming KILLKILLKILL and conquering the pacific, that'd be kinda gay, right?

Albacore: Yeah. I guess so.

This is my refurbed 1941 Izhevsk's magazine. Electro penciled serial GM2392 (that matches the rifle) with original stamped serial VB6510.

If I'm correct that number "1" after the stamped numbers indigates the order of the magazines. So this one has been the original rifle's primary magazine.

Here's mine

This is a great idea. There are two numbers on the left side of the magazine.

One is 6979 in electro-pencil.

The other is lower on the same side. It's 7074 and it's stamped.

Neither of these numbers matches the receiver, by the way.

Svt Mag's

I just purchased and received an SVT40 and it came with two mags (neither matches the receiver). The first one has ep 6104 with a lined out OK 1486. The second one has 732 over B over AM1955.1. I'm looking for #3765 (NE 3765 - with a "backwards" N).
