SVT-40, can I put a sniper scope on this one?

Hello. I have an SVT-40 rifle and a SVT scope. I was hoping to find a mount and put it on, but I want to make sure this rifle can indeed take a mount for the scope. As can be seen in the pictures, it has the side slots, but not the notch on the top of the receiver. Thank you for your advice and insight.

When/if you find a mount, you already know it can't be pinned. I have read accounts loc-tite. Not sure how it works.
Post the question on the "Sniper" forum - we have answered it there before and those who have done it will tell what worked for them.
We really need to just sticky one of these..

If it has rails, then you can mount a scope. Use loctite on the grooves and let it set for a while to cure/bond. Wahla!
This coming from someone who did this 500 rounds a go and still on there strong. When you want it off, theres a solvent(likely alcohol) that removes the loctite.
was it hard to zero scope?

I take it you put on a replica mount, was it hard to zero? Did it make reassembly after cleaning difficult ( or from my point of view) more difficult? thanks!
Okay thanks for the advice guys.

i mounted an SVT scope on a repro mount and had no problems zeroing it. I had no additional problems cleaning it since the mount was removable. if the mount is held in place with loctite you probably have to clean it from the muzzle end.
