I ran across a pretty nice SVT 38 today.
Furniture condition is 6/7 out of 10 with some sanding and something like poly applied.
Bluing is strong everywhere, cleaning rod in place, with mismatch mag.
Receiver is cut for scope mount, no SA or import marks that I could find in a quick look over.
Could not see if the bolt had matching numbers, the top of the knob had maker marks but the serial number was hidden on the underside, but for sure no line outs.
I put it down pretty quick so as to not seem too interested but I AM interested having never seen one in the flesh before.
What's high and low dollars on these things?

1500 - 3500$ ????..... that's what I've seen on gunborker...mine went for 1700$

Really nice ones can sell 3-4k. Last matching, untouched one that I saw sold for $3000.

From your description, it certainly has issues, but without detailed pictures it is hard to assess value. What are they asking?
