I was driving by one of my local pawn shops and decided to check it out . I saw what I thought was a k98 and it was a RC 44 dot in a nice 135 waA stock ,nice bore . I was afraid to flip the tag when I did it was 229.00 , I said I will take it , funny thing was it was sitting next to a bunch of mosin M 44 at 275.00 each .

Sounds like a great find and at a fantastic price no matter what condition. Just sold my BYF 44 import with unpeened swastikas for $500. Guess you got a good deal. I usually browse local gun shops for trade ins instead of gun shows. Much better prices I have found. Again congradulations on your find.

It wasn't that long ago people would laugh at the idea of paying $229 for an RC, and M44s were $69 not so long ago. Today's prices are tomorrow's bargains.

+1 to that I may only be 21 but when I bought my first Mosin I paid $75 for it and that was with tax, when I bought my first K98 I paid $250 and it wasn't import marked.

good work. yea i was just crusin after a day at the range and that dou44 fell into my lap. I really never thought id have a matching. and a dou at that.
