I am not seeing much at all in the way of posts on these rifles. Gotta find an AK for my son for Christmas and was wondering how these have worked out. I get the impression they are pretty much just one more iteration of the ubiquitous WASR, but for more money with different furniture.

Any reports from owners would be greatly appreciated. TIA

that is exactly what they are ..if the boy is worth it get him the yugo while they are still around..2 full stocked ,1 underfolder,1 RPK, with the new barrels,,..i am happy,,still have to romi sar-1s that are just fine too..my opinion

I have an STG-2000C and it is fair. This rifle sparked my interest in AKM style rifles. Since I have picked up a couple of Romy-G AKM kits. After I complete those I will probably look at getting a Yugo RPK with a new barrel.
