I have a question that has been driving me insane. In T. Lapins book "For collectors only" The Mosin-Nagant Rifle, third edition on page #82 there is mention of a steel finger rest behind the trigger gaurd that was eliminated in 1894. I have researched this and can not find any pictures of a Mosin with this "finger rest." Does anyone know of such a thing? This has bugged me for quite some time and a picture would really set my mind at ease. So what say you? Can you help with this question?
