Was going through some more of the Air Force academy's collection and found this work of art. I can't remember the proper name, but long story short this is a reproduction "passport" cooked up by the American POW's to escape Stalag 17 or one of the other Stalag's. The whole thing is written by hand aside from one or two of the stamps, which were still hand made. To me this is on par with anything in the louvre museum. Genius is measured by what a man does with what is available to him.

I assume that it is a pass stating that one has permission to have a week's holiday.

Perhaps someone with better German would like to elaborate, please?

It is a vacation form (home leave) of a Siemens factory at Breslau for a Dutch worker from Alkmaar / Holland.
