Picked up a sporterized Budapest M95 Carbine in 8 x 50R today. Handguard removed and stock cut down making a half stock sporter. Otherwise complete with R markings on all parts. The receiver number matches the cut down stock number. Now the odd markings. Receiver is roll stamped Budapest. The M95 has been altered. The 9 has been overstamped with O. So it now reads M05. The barrel is unmarked unproofed. At the bottom of the barrel, under the carbine rear site, it's marked -05. On the bottom of the receiver, next to the front guard screw hole, it's marked +05.
