Not sure if this is the right forum, but it didnt fit anywhere else.

I picked up this Spanish Destroyer Carbine today for $100. It has a nice bore and the bolt and extractor seem intact. The bad news is the front band and part of the front stock were removed. Im hoping I can find a front band and slice a piece of wood onto the front end under the middle band. The C1 code and 27XXX serial number puts it as a late 1957 manufacture. So how did I do?

Your best bet is to buy one with a broken extractor and rob the stock from it.

I just took it apart for the first time and realized something. I assumed the bolt didnt match because it wasnt the same numbers as the serial number on the receiver. I found a secondary number on the bottom of the receiver that matches all the other numbers on the gun, even the stock. Its completely matching.
