This is a vexing question.DocAV,
In this case are the 6 pointed stars part of the Loewe Manufacturer’s marking or something done by or at the request of the Ottomans? In the book, there are pictures of a Spanish Loewe made rifle with similar stars. Are they Star of David related to Loewes Jewish heritage?
Closeups of the cutoff boxTurkish 1893/33 7,9 conversion. Many still had original Turko-Arabic script on siderail, denoting L.Loewe and year of manufacture.
What has been done to the Cutoff box and lever?
Fully removed ( milled away) or just Lever ground flat to box surface?
