Sight Hood

The sight hood is just what it says. It is the metal piece that shrouds the sight. Easily put on with a pair of snap ring pliers. The capture screws are used to lock the two other screws that hold the floor plate and trigger guard in the stock.

Russian captures

If the mauser is one of the best actions ever made, then in no way can a Russian capture be considered junk. The Russian captured rifles serve their purpose well. They can be put back to original condition true, but will never be matching. In my opinion there is no need to own a gun, a car, a camera, or whatever without it being used. Of course if it is a mechanical issue then I understand. With that being said, that's why a person would use there old beat up truck to haul junk in instead of the new one one if they had two trucks. Same with the RC's, use it without fear of scratching it or beating it up.
