...tremendous groups.
Was getting four inch groups from a bore that is mint. Was using handloads, 42 grains Varget behind Hornady .312 150 SP's. First thought it was the bullets and was about to order some .312 174 RN's. But then thought to check the front action screw. Sure enough it was a turn and a quarter shy of tight. So I tightened her down and got a .98 point of aim four shot group from 100 yards with one batch of handloads. Put five more rounds in from a different batch and got a 1.47 group. Again in the bull. It might have been tighter but I fired them one after the other with no more than five seconds between shots. The first group I paused between shots for about 3 to four minutes. This is definitely the best shooting firearm in my collection of milsurps. I was using a Weaver K 2.5 scope.
