According to Reilly, in his American socket bayonets it has the 1855 style blade common to most US socket bayonets after that date. Overall length 21 1/8'. 3 1/8 socket, 18 3/4' blade, .717 bore. Muzzle length(distance from front of socket to beginning of mortice) 1 1/4 ". Socket, shank and lower end of the blade blued. Most American blades after 1855 look the same to the unpracticed eye, the difference being in the minute details. Hope this helps, Jaeger.
