I just saw that the Senate is still up for grabs. I really expected the gun ban to start in 2022, but it may start sooner. I do hope Trump wins legal challenges, but I think that's just a wish, and not reality. The left has become so corrupt that I do believe they will....I don't think "win" is the correct word, but they will get the Senate seats up for grabs. Viewing the happenings in VA this past year, it's clear the left already has their laws written. They just need to present them, pass them, and have Joe sign them. If they do win, which I think they will, there is ZERO chance that they will not enact new gun laws in 2021. ZERO chance. Perhaps they will wait a bit, I don't know. Maybe they will try to whittle away the finances of the firearm industry first in order to position themselves for more of a sure bet. They've already managed to severly weaken the NRA. While it wasn't always the greatest ally, they were obviously a concern to the left as they have been under attack by the left for years. So, we are left with certain other national and state level groups. If they do ban the online sale of firearms and ammunition, this will put a lot of online retailers out of business---which will have the effect of diminishing the war chest of those in the firearm industry.
Here is a link with the GA race. It doesn't look good. Georgia Senate Race Between David Perdue And Jon Ossoff Heads To A Runoff

"The end" for anything is a beginning for something else.

There still is one thing that could, would and will keep a Gov in check, and that is if Justice were actually applied and those in Gov held accountable, like in the Reagan era.

The laws are there, they just dont apply to the Servants, because its the Servants that apply the law.

I would like to see the end of "in your face lawlessness and lying" from top Gov officials, and the trials begun.

Again Georgia will be In the spotlight as there are two senate seats heading for a runoff. This will mean the difference between holding a line in the senate or a complete route of gun rights.
The new, so-called John Lewis district of Atlanta corrupted the ballot count in the presidential election and no doubt has learned new tricks for the senate runoffs.
Doesn’t look or feel good.

The Supreme court ruled years ago that there is an individual right to keep and bear firearms, no matter what the dems say or try to do. They pass a law actually banning firearm ownership it will be challenged in the Supreme court and with the new conservative majority it should be over ruled.
Nothing is guaranteed and vigilance is always beneficial, but let's handle trouble when it actually comes. The US is a nation of gun owners, we are not alone.

Strange election practices in the US, We have a election say on the Monday, Tuesday Morning done and dusted, I just can't see how it trags out so long in the US.

It seemed to me counting in Phily was going to continue until they found enough Biden ballots. I think this year it was stolen and it will be a real struggle to prevent future replays. The Dems are pushing hard to expand this mail in system.

It's the result of technology dhanging too quickly for the political system (in a macro, decades long sort of way). Counting ballots is done electronically but if there's an argument they have to do it manually and that takes ten times as long. Then court challenges etc. I expect they'll figure it out in 20 years or so and we'll know the results before the people even get to the polls.

The bad thing is (are): court has to agree to hear a case. Justices aren't guaranteed to live (i.e. one or more could pass before a case is brought up). While a case is dragging out, several firearm companies could go out of business (the left IS trying to bankrupt anything related to the firearm industry). Cases could have an effect on business (i.e. lack of innovation). And, people could be "felons" until a court case is decided.

Which is so far rumors and innuendo until they take it to court. In that regard, the other shoe will drop when some nationally recognized lawyer known for taking cases to the Supreme Court agrees to take up the issue. So far it’s just Rudy which is keeping it in the realm of entertainment. I believe the WH has been looking for someone; I think the quote from Jared is “ We need a Jim Baker”. It will signal real intent if they get the right guy to sign on.

We had our elections about 3 weeks back....they are held every 3 years down here.Every person allowed to vote is on the electoral role and the system is set up so only eligible people can vote and only once it would be impossible to commit voting fraud here.Regardless of whether or not there was fraud committed in the US they need to get their voting methods sorted out so its not even a possibility like pretty much every other developed country. So in future the subject will not even come up.

once everything is overtaxed, overregulated and simply not available - sure, one can own a firearm (if can afford registration/licenses/storage requirements and inspection fees/insurance requirements/etc.) but then will there be ammo or reloading components for you to use/enjoy it??? Basically my fear is that they will NOT take guns (as a confiscation), they will simply make it unaffordable for 99% of the population...
imagine gun/ammunition running happening not from USA but into US from Canada and Central and South Americas....

I am honestly starting to eye properties in Asia and/or Europe for when my wife and I are retired and can take our money and move the hell out of Socialistic BS (which, by the way, I already lived in once for 16yrs) this once great Country is becoming...

Gunboards has contributors of various political stripes and priorities, but I’ve never seen anyone here willing to budge on gun ownership.

And I’m deeply convinced that’s true with the majority of Americans. Sure there is a loony left but that’s such a minority- even most democrats realize that if they vote for gun restrictions they won’t stay in office. Americans want our guns, it’s an overwhelming majority.

I don’t think Biden has near the support for his gun platform that would enable him to carry out anything significant.

He will no doubt do something, but I very much doubt it will be the apocalyptic scenario that some here seem to fear.

He could always do EO. Now whether they would be legal or not could take 3-5 years & a lot of money.

EO - Explosive Ordnance? Early Out?
Executive Orders.

Seems like such has become a favorite of all the more recent presidents - whether dem or repub. Actually governors also. Don't know about mayors & county judges as there are so many of them that their actions are lost - except for the really big cities like NYC.

"Impossible" isn't a word you should use for voter fraud. Hard maybe, but never impossible. In the US I don't believe any of these cases will affect the result but the government should vigorously pursue them all Dem and Rep because the American people need to be able to trust the system. Right now they don't, which only encourages more cheating.
