Can anyone here shed some light on this one?
I "think" it may be an M&P K-frame-C-series
Hand ejector made from 1948-1052.

I'm looking for some "real" ID and estimated value.

Yes, it is a M&P (pre-Model 10). I am not sure of value, but here is a reference site that might be helpful:
