Hello everyone,
Forgive my ignorance, but I have a question regarding my Yugo SKS.
I removed the butplate the other day, and discovered a "tool" located in the cavity of the buttstock.
What the heck is it? Bolt disassembly tool? Please help.
Your most humple servent,
Wendell

Welcome!
If it's a "capsule" with tools inside, it's the cleaning kit.
(which includes 3 or 4 items)
If it's just one "tool" you're missing the cleaning kit and someone just shoved it in there.

Thank you. It appears to be the capsule only, with no tools inside.

Guys have reported finding all kinds of stuff in their stocks. I, personally, found a pretty piece of a ladies dress carefully folded and stuck into the buttstock. I left it there, too. All I can imagine is that the soldier that had it carried it with him as a touchstone of home. It could have also been just a piece of cloth to clean his sights. Who knows? The capsule is what was issued with the rifle when new, however.
