I think the sights were regulated with the bayo extended. Could get tighter groups with the bayo folded, however. What does extending the bayo do to POI?

Consider yourself lucky. Alot of them hit high. I do have a couple that I have to set at around 300yrds to hit at POA at 100yrds, but they are few and far between.

Seems I have the concentric zeros too. How important is that, ya'll reckon? It's out of place on a '44 model though, making me believe that the receiver was manufactured earlier and the carbine is a conversion from an original M91 (not M91/30). The later ones would have the side-by-side zeros as an accuracy proof.

The concentric zeros will appear on the barrel, not the receiver. The receiver date is pretty easy to verify. Take the action out of the stock, and look at the tang date.
