I purchased this Rifle a while back. It came with a spare .280 Remington Barrel and two spare magaines for 30 '06, 270 Winchester, 6.5X65 RWS, 7X64 and 9.3X 62.

The 308 magazine also works with .243 Winchester, 7mm-08, 7.5X55


I don't understand why I have this combination of magazines with the 280 barrel.



What Magazine works with the 280 barrel?

Thanks for that info. I have a rifle that shoots two calibers. I have no interest in shooting a 280. The owner never got around to shooting it either. It is still in the net covering with the parts label on it.The fellow who sold it it to me took the Sightron scope amd rings off but left the base.

For some unknown reason, SIG produced a bunch of the .280 barrels. The .280 is a good cartridge, but has always had some acceptance problems among American shooters, mainly because it is pretty much a duplicate, ballistically, of the .270 and that has the name recognition. It does have it's admirers and the bullet selection is probably better since it is a 7mm.
