Is it legal to ship a replica 1860 army cap and ball pistol through the US Mail?
If not what is the most economical way to ship one? It is going to a gunsmith to be slicked up.

thanks, runner

Last week I shipped a Black Powder Revolver and Rifle by FedEx Ground - no FFL is required by Shipper or Buyer.

I find their rates cheaper than USPS , there is full tracking info and packages are insured for $100 in base rate.
