After a long import process, a 1943 Sk.Y has arrived from Germany to my collection. I am, in the words of JPS, "Stoked".

While a 1943 Sk.Y is not the most notable of the M-39s in my collection, the fact that it was from one of the world's foremost collectors and author of the definitive books on MNs makes it special to me. And it was acquired right here, on the Trader. The bore is absolutely mirror.

Here are pics made by the "former owner".

Congratulations on a beauty. Sometimes the wait only makes it better. Denny
"Anticipation" for sure. But should any of you have an opportunity to import something, the process is not nearly as bad as the wait. And should anyone wish to import an item, let me know, as there are volume discounts available that can help cut costs if multiple items come in on a single import ticket.

I do believe "Foremost" was/is a Sears in house brand.

What's a "foremost", and why would you collect them?
fore·most

–adjective, adverb first in place, order, rank, etc.: the foremost surgeons.

The fact that I said "one of the world's most..." does not necessarily disclude you.

Although you should not feel immediately included either. ;)

The last foremost I saw at auction sold for $2000 but Vic said it was only worth $200 at most.
Is that why you did not bring us boys a tank as a gift from your most recent trip? I could have settled for an "almost-foremost" Tuco tank.:D

A Gentleman would not ask, and the Lady will not tell.

Let's leave it at this; I have some that cost more.

And none of the more expensive have the "KH premium" associated with them.
