What does the stamping that has a square with the letters SA mean? I have a fin 91 that has it but also a german starter tab with it.

If the MG42 starter tab has a boxed SA (Suomi Armija, I think is the Finnish translation), then yes, it was used in the Finnish Army.

Click on my thumbnail at top of this post to see stamping. The other side has the eagle and hooked cross. Also has w?ac42 under that. The Finnish must take a piece and stamp it as their own.

Yes, TONS of stuff floating around out there with one form or another of Finnish property marking.

The Finns were very smart they used anything that they could get their hands on. So there is no telling of all the things that may pop up with the SA mark on it.
