Here are some pictures of a gun from a friend's collection. It is part of of my piece on "Foreign Revolvers in Russian Service". These were made at the Tula Small arms Factory in the 1850s. Needless to say they were presentation pieces and not suitable for general service.

Notice the lion's head butts. These are seen in percussion and pinfire.

Here are two pin fires from around 1860-62. Both are by Johann Norman of Tula.
