I recently came into a cdi russian import marked makarov...new in box with east german maintenance papers...unissued... can anybody tell me about the german maintenance papers for a russian mak???. It is now the gem of my collection!

What is the date? As it's CDI imported with German arsenal card, it was likely imported with German Maks. Two schools of thought, Russians provided PM to DDR before they started making their own in 1958, or more likely, supplemented their supply after the DDR quit making them in 1965. I say more likely as have you ever noticed how there are no unissued EG Makarovs?

I'm betting yours is dated in the 70s or 80s.

date is 86 to the right of the biiferated triangle... unlike my bulgarian sneaks n thwhich are marked 1976 these are just marked 86

I have a record with my "64, but the first entry after the initial one in '64, came in '83. I just figure this is why it in such good shape. Very interesting indeed.
