I have a crate ( 880 rounds) of what I think is Russian 54R yellow tip heavy ball.
Any idea what it is going for?
Thanks

Wideners has some, I don't know if it is the same as yours. They are the only ones I know of that have it. They are selling it for $130 per 225rds.

Is that 'Extra' or 'Match' at Wideners or 1950s GI Heavy Ball like pictured? With much more recent mfg LPS selling for $100 bucks a 440rd tin delivered or at shows ....I give this a little premium, say $125 a tin.

The stuff at wideners says match. I would like to try some heavy ball in my carbines.

The last Heavy Ball I bought was about a year ago. 250 rounds in machine gun links. It came in one of the Soviet-style 'stop sign shaped' machine gun ammo cans, and I paid $75 for it.

If I recall correctly, I believe it was Polish, from about 1948.

I know. I should have bought two.
