I bought a Ruger single-six, I was excited because it was an "old-model" with fixed sights, I bought it sight unseen. When I got it in hand, it was marked .22 Magnum with the .22 LR cylinder with it. My new model in marked .22 LR with the Mag cylinder. How common are the .22 mag marked pistols?
Thanks for any info.

Not nearly a common as the .22 LR guns, but they aren't rare. I have one with the .22 Mag cylinder. At one time, Ruger would fit a LR cylinder to them after the fact.
