I;m considering restocking a ''sporterized'' 8x58r with a new walnut stock. The ''semi inletted ''ones are pricey-probably due to limited market demand,so I'm considering getting a piece of walnut and bandsawing out my own blank and having a crack at it myself.Theres a tutorial on U-Tube with larry Potterfield ,and while I don;t have a milling machine,it doesn't look too hard.I've reshaped and refinished a number of old stocks and the two piece RB stock looks simpler than a one piece bolt action inletted stock .Has anybody else tried it?
