Goto www.canadiangunnutz.com it is a forum very much like this one only mostly Canadian members , they answer and deal with Canadian info ,issues, etc. And yes you can reload in Canada, you can hunt, shoot, but handguns and certain rifles (AR15 style) are only able to be shot on an approved range and you usually need to be a member of a club(range) to get the Permit to take your gun to the range. I shoot both SASS and IPSC . The western provinces are a little better with their regulating of the Federal laws about guns. Ontario seems to be the worst place to be a gun owner. Hope your coming to B.C., one of the prairie provinces or Northern Canada. A gun safe is not required but not a bad idea. A locked closet is okay, a locked hard gun case is okay, the cheap locker style gun cabinets are okay, they are to stop unauthorized access, not theft. A professional theif can get into anything if he has enough time. Handguns must have a trigger lock and be in a locked box or locked hard case when being transported to the range.
