I know this question would probably be better for Lugerforums, but I happened to have this forum open in the next tab over.
I was browsing Simpson LTD when I ran across a 1928 contract Dutch Colonial Luger that they say the finish looks "rearsenalled"
Does anybody know if the Dutch Colonial forces ever redid the finish?
Thanks

There is no such term as "rearsenal" They probably mean arsenal refinished. That is normally what is meant by that term. In answer to your question, yes. Lugers in service in the Dutch East Indies suffered from the constant heat and humidity. Does it still have the brass unit tag on the left hand side of the receiver?
