What is recommended?

I've been told that my BM malfunction (FTExtract) is most likely related to a recoil spring problem.

When I search, I find them available in different strengths (12, 14, and 16 lbs, for example).

So, what would be best?

Or is my gunsmith even on the right track?

He says everything else about the BM is perfectly fine.

Thanks in advance.

Why does everybody want to try the complicated (and expensive) remedy FIRST?

Why not first try what's simplest (and free)?

Scrub out the F***ing chamber!

Until you yourself have visually confirmed that the chamber walls are clean, bright, shiny and undamaged, that's my last line of advice on this subject.

Well, to be fair, he tried all the simple stuff first, I think (at least he said he did).

It was my bad to leave the impression that he jumped to a conclusion.

Thanks,

If you (or your gunsmith) are sure you need it, I can supply original brand new recoil assemblies for the BM.

Don't play with not original and different strenghts springs, there is only a correct one.......... and that's the one the STAR engineers put on it.
