Picked these up from the same collection last month and finally got some photos. The rifle is a bit rough but the bore looks good so it should make a nice shooter. As a plus it came with a nice early bayonet. The revolver still retains some nice straw colors on the hammer, trigger, and cylinder release and the bore is excellent so it should shoot well if I can track down some ammo. That's a nice little collection.The bluing looks nice on both the rifle and revolver, and the early bayonet is a bonus.

Thanks Frogus. I also picked up an 1886 Lebel last month (no pictures yet) so I'm up to 5 WW1 French firearms including the two pictured above. I'm pretty happy with the early bayonet. From looking at the features on it I'm pretty sure it is pre 1890 mfg? I currently have it mounted on one of my 1886 Lebels and have a shortened Lebel bayonet without a quillion on the Berthier in the photos.
