Heading out to Chattanooga in the middle of October for the statewide DA's conference and Continuing Legal Education seminars. I've got all the CLE that I need for the year already, so I've got the opportunity for plenty of goof-off time.

I don't get to the range enough as it is, and a couple of folks in the office have expressed an interest in learning how to properly pop some caps.

We'll be staying downtown, so does anybody out there have recommendations for a range we can use in the middle of the day, during the week?

Thanks.

Indoor, or outdoor?

I'm not aware of indoor ranges in the immediate area, perhaps someone else can help. If you're up for a 45 mile drive, Fugates Firearms in Calhoun, TN, due north on I-75, has an 8 lane indoor range. I know they are closed on Wednesdays, but may also be closed Monday & Tuesday, call before wasting a trip.

Outdoors, there's Prentice Cooper State Park. It's free, but I'm thinking it may be closed on one weekday also (Mondays?) and whenever there is a WMA hunt.
