Has anyone bought a K98 barreled action from R Guns. If you did what kind of condtion was it in. Thinking about getting one for a future build. Thank You very much

I bought a bcd 43 in store during late December. I looked at maybe 5 or 6. All seemed nice with at least decent bores. The import mark is on the rear sight base. Cant really speak for what the have now.....

I thought about getting one of these myself. I wonder if on the chioces of proper bent bolt or straight bolt, are the straight bolts Gewehrs or just k98k's with an older bolt in them?

I had the same project in mind so I called them approx. three weeks ago. The dude I talked to was vague when I asked about acquiring a non-peened action. He told me there was no guarantee as to what I might get so I passed until new info comes to light. If you don't care about the birds then go ahead, I've seen a few that have had great bores. Mine had a bent bolt, the giant import mark on the sight base, peened eagles, bore with some pitting but great lands/grooves, excellent shooter. I'd say I got my money's worth but not the deal of the century by any means.

for a little more (250) I got a sporter with mismatched bolt (bolt matched itself) with excellent bore.
