I wound up picking up a Type 6 Nagoya Type 99 Arisaka the other day on the cheap but its sporterized. also the bolt and safety cap numbers do not match the receiver. Of course no bayo lug since that part got chopped off long ago. Bore is in great shape. No wings.

should I just keep it as a parts gun for my other Type 99, sell it, or part it out?

I figure I'll run out of room in the safe at some point, so I better have my priorities figured out in advance!

thanks!

Sounds like parts to me. The only parts with significant demand are the bolt and mag follower and spring.

Cheap? Under $100?

$50, and I got 15 rounds of norma soft point 7.7, around a dozen pieces of 7.7 brass. and maybe 20 or so pieces of 7.54 french brass.

my buddy that I bought it from joked that if I bought the ammo I would get the rifle for free :)
